Of course I wouldnt' compare Jack in the Box: they won't slather jalapenos all over my hamburger!

Like a bird......

A double double, fries and drink is no more than $6.30-6.50.
Whats your typical order?

Love the burger debate ,I would say I like In N Out more than Whataburger but both are average IMO

My wife on the other hand prefers 5 Guys which I feel is overrated and definately overpriced

The thing I like about Texas (Dallas) is I get the best of both worlds In N Out,Jack in the box, (the latter not great but didnt have it in Florida) 5 Guys, Chik fil-a Which aren't common if at all in Cali etc..

I actually like a place (in Keller I believe) called O.C. Burgers the taste and style of burger is consistent with burger joints growing up in L.A. so its my favorite right now.

I had In N Out long before it came to Texas when I lived in California. I thought it sucked then and when I tried it again in Texas it sucked as I always remember. All hype. Another trend like Starbucks, where the product is clearly inferior but it catches on as a fad.

Slo1318: I'm your stereotypical "skinny guy who puts down a lot of food." I don't drink soda at all, so maybe that's the difference, but I could put down a double-double and honestly think "okay, what's for dinner?" (Last night all this burger talk got to me and I went to B.I. and put down a Jungle Burger with the works and a shake, and then helped the kid with her fries, easy).

In that context, I guess I'm the outlier.

I agree on 5 guys, its way over priced and sloppy. They are in California now as well as Chicfila....

Whataburger is just a taster, larger, burger.
I.O. Has no taste. Just a bland compact pile of doo-doo. Fries are ****-poor as well.

We will occasionally
Eat Country Burger as well, but they are a bit pricier.
