Default Trying to get an oil rig job

Hi, everyone

I'm trying to get a job working on an oil rig in the Eagle Ford shale. Does anyone know if companies are still hiring? From what I've read on this forum, the type of job I want is roustabout or roughneck.

I'm 29, from Georgia, and have no experience in the oil and gas industry, although I am a very hard worker and have worked outside my whole life.

Thank you for you time, and have a great day!

If you go out Hwy 16 south. Once you get passed Jourdanton, start looking for jobs signs. IF, and that's a big IF, you get as far as Tilden, stop at the Shell station and look at their job board. Most are hired on the spot. You WILL get hired in Tilden, just make sure to pick the right job offer.

Finding a place to live is another thing though. Any available properties are sky high right now. You can find some decent affordable places, but it will be a heck of a comute from work and back
