Thanks I'm planning a combo trip to Austin/Houston in September. I'm planning to spend about 3 days in each city. Can anyone recommend affordable hotels close to downtown Austin and Montrose/Heights/midtown Houston? Also anyone know of any good realtors that can give me brief overview of the respective cities. I'll be interested to see how apartments compare with my budget of approx $1200-$1300 range. I realize 3 days in each city is not lot of time to get a total feel but just looking to get a sense to see which city is more my style
