It stinks that the guy bought into a quiet area that's now being ruined. The live music is going to be a magnet, that happened to a place we have out of state. I hate hearing what has happened in New Braunfels, but at least those buyers know what they might be in for (not that it's right). We used to tube back in the 70's, I don't think the home owners appreciated us much then either. We were probably loud, but I don't remember anybody ever getting out of the river and certainly not on private property. Everybody put their cans back in the cooler too. No litter unless somebody turned over, even then people scooped it up as they went by. It's a darn shame that people are being such pigs now. The only place I remember litter was down where they rented canoes, everything else was pretty clean.

Exactly! As I've said, my family has owned the river property since 1973-74. Seems everyone respected other peoples property and toobed accordingly. As TexasHorseLady has pointed out, the entitlement mentality is prevalent these days. Sad. Thanks for your post.

There are rivers in Arkansas and TN where you can canoe and kayak and not see anyone at all.
