They find ways....

It's the same thing they did with the fried ice cream. Sort of "freeze" it, then take the small bits that come from the process and fry it.

The butter was in the middle of a ball of biscuit-like dough. It was yummy.

It was. I didn't try the sweet ones, but the garlic butter was like eating extremely buttery garlic toast.

Once something is a huge success, they keep it on. Fried butter will be there again!

One more thing, Repping DFW. The trick to not getting sick as a dog or having a heart attack right there (!) is to split orders of what you want to try with others. :-)

I can understand a liking for the State Fair but not the nasty artery clogging fried foods that comes with it.

Meh. It's ok once in a while, as long as you practice moderation. It's not as if you're going to eat it every single day.

Agreed. There are four of us in my family, and we get a single order of something fried/rich/bad for us, and share. We may try several different foods, but not a lot of any food for any one person.

I only eat a corny dog once a year, at the State Fair. But, to not like corny dogs, or fried butter, or deep fried pumpkin pie?? You must not be from Texas, or even the South.
