Moderator cut: orphaned

but hey I wonder if you guys are like the other blue collar idiots around here...yep because tonight makes number 4, 4 times I have heard the SAME STORY about a guy in this area. I am actually starting to feel bad for the women here. Maybe they can't help it when they have such cruddy guys to choose from. And in case you are wondering as to what I am referring, all 4 guys were blue collar, all 4 guys made loads of money, all 4 guys were physically beating and abusing their wives. You wanna talk weak and lame, that is weak and lame. It's not just about dating, it's about people here in general.

Just....wow. I feel better about my friends and co-workers now, no matter how weird they may be .

I did not know (thought maybe I should have) that you could be an ugly American in your own country......

And I thought this post was going to be about all the ankles in the landfill.

To the OP--perhaps the term "hooking up" could be impacting your social life. It most certainly doesn't make me think of you as a paragon of sophistication! Maybe a case of denial?

Yes it is possible. It's unfortunate, but it happens to people all the time.

I have had nothing but good experiences in the area. The Cajun influence is strong, and people are friendly if you are. Methinks OP is not happy wherever he/she/it may be.

Oh and OP, I found some of that misuse of the English language you so detest:

I decided to right this

Funny that my rule is the exact opposite. I couldn't see myself living anywhere west of Houston and Dallas. Period.
