My daughter just returned from Afghanistan and was gone during her birthday. I want to get her a gift certificate for a facial and a couple other services. mani/pedi, hair cut and style........ Not really sure about which services other than the facial.

If you have a recommendation I would love to hear it. TIA

Gallacio's is one... I have gotten my wife "the works" from there (facial, manicure, pedicure, massage). I haven't looked that way when I've driven past there for a while, though, so I don't even know if they are still in business.

The last time I got a spa treatment for her (I think it was for Mother's Day) was Waterford Wellness and Spa. It's right down by the Concho River.

Would you mind asking her if she liked them? Purty please? With a cherry on top? <VBG>

I'll ask... but, really?!?! A woman who doesn't like a spa treatment? I guess it could happen, but it's like asking a guy if he enjoyed a steakhouse! lol

She said the following:

1. Didn't like DeMarco's Day Spa ... she just wasn't wild about that one at all (on Knickerbocker).

2. She did like Gallacio's (sp?), but again, we're not sure it's still open on Bryant (also called 87).

3. She hasn't used her gift card at Waterford yet, but has heard nothing but good things about it.

Thanks! I will go with Waterford then. I looked up Gallacio's and didn't find it, so they are probably closed. Tell your wife thanks for the info too if you don't mind! :-)

You're welcome, and will pass on the thanks. PM me if you get the urge and tell me if you liked it or not!

For hair salons, I can recommend Ulta. I've been a lot of places and this one thus far has been the best for hair-coloring. They got the color I asked for spot-on and the haircut was excellent. I had stylist Max, and I can highly recommend him. He knows his color. I did accent highlights and a cut special for $55 and it was the best experience.
