I know it doesn't matter to most of you but most of west Texas counties were 70-75% for Romney.

I'd say 75-85 would be more accurate.

Pretty sure King County is the most Republican county in the US at 96% for Romney.

the County results are interesting in some states. Obama won zero counties in WV and Utah.

Romney won zero counties in his home state of Massachusetts or in Rhode Island and Hawaii

I would love to see a breakdown of Collin County and see which areas had the higher concetration of Obama votes. At final talley, it was 65% Romney and 35% Obama. Collin still threw up over 100k votes for Obama.

Does anyone know what the deal with Hudspeth County is?

It's very poor, very Hispanic but has voted Republican in the last several elections.

I'd speculate that the heavily Hispanic parts of East Plano went Obama, as did many of the similar old town areas in Allen and McKinney. It would be interesting to see how the Russell Creek area in Plano voted, considering how highly concentrated Asians are there. Perhaps some of the areas of Dallas in Collin County went to Obama?

*Harris County went for Obama by only TWO votes!
Ok...your point is...?

Harris County includes a wider mix of people because its the largest county in Texas.

Its like combining Dallas County with Tarrant County. If that were the case Tarrant County would bring down the Democratic vote from Dallas County by a large margin, possibly lower than the 2 votes you speak of.

Houston Obama: 807,212 44.3%
Houston Romney: 1,016,217 55.7%

If we removed the far flung sparse counties (like Liberty, Hunt, and Delta) the results would be closer to 50/50.
BS

Yeah lets remove "far flung counties" & see what D/FW's MSA looks like then. Only when it benefits your inflated population numbers though right?

I doubt it would come remotely close to being 50/50. Tarrant County voted for Romney with 57% & that's pretty much what Texas looks like as a whole. Tarrant County represents Texas voting patterns to a T, no pun intended.
