If I do move to Texas, I will most likely vote Democratic in 2016. This will help transition the state from red to blue. In fact, what's his name said that in 2016, Texas could go blue, due to rapidly changing demographics. If that does happen, it will be impossible for a Republican to ever win the white house again (assuming that they don't change their positions on certain issues).

Hopefully they become more libertarian, but I think we got another decade before enough or two before the older statists die off.

Tell that to the survivors of the Bastrop wild fire that were denied federal disaster relief by the Obama administration because of a tiff with Governor Perry during the primaries. I am sure they'd agree with you.

So Rick Perry is to blame because some mentally disturbed woman in Laredo shot her children?

DOES ANYONE WANT TO ARGUE THAT CLAIM?

I wouldn't argue that claim just as I wouldn't argue the claim that California is now the poorest state in the union and it happened during the Obama administration.

Well they said on FOX News that it could happen in 2016, due to the influx of transplants from blue states, as well as an increasingly Latino/minority population. Republicans have made it clear - through their policy proposals - that they are against minorities, from laws concerning immigration, marriage, abortion, etc. The Republican party will never win the white house again unless they become more friendly with minorities, period. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that Romney lost the election because of his stance on these social issues.
