Midland Texas Walmart $14 dollar pay
Quote:
Find OG construction companies, I don't care to name them. OG construction jobs when I left the industry 9 months ago were paying this:

Hourly pay (these are averages, there are fluctuations company to company, job site to job site):
entry level jobs (firewatch, etc) $10-14/hour
helper jobs (welder's helper, fitter's helper - many first time people can get in at this level, depending on background) $14-18/hour
pipefitters $18-32/hour
forklife operators $18-25/hour
crane operators $25-35/hour (and up for the largest ones)
welders $50/hour

Now work weeks run 60+ hours a week (OT is paid)
And you add per diem (most jobs pay $60-120/day per diem)

So, even the lowest paid entry level firewatches who do nothing but stand with a fire extinguisher observing the welders all day long will make at a minimum 10x40 + 15x20 + 60x7 = 1120 a week
Are you allowed to work just 40 hours a week?
Could you label the numbers in the equation? What does the individual numbers stand for that comes out to be 1120 a week?

Is competition for firewatches harder because they don't do much?
What are some name of these OG companies?
These ones? Moriah Group | Real Estate | Oil & Gas | Technology | Construction Construction company in Midland, serving the Texas oil and gas industry. SMITH OILFIELD SERVICES, INC.
