Houston Texas vs San Antonio Texas
I am a 52 year old single female.
Is there anyone out there who could help me out with information about both San Antonio and Houston Texas? I will soon be graduating with an AA degree in Accounting. I am currently a city bus operator ( 7 years experience) and will be looking for employment as an accounts payable/receivable clerk, payroll clerk.
I will need to start work as soon as possible. Which city has the best job opportunities? What was your experience like finding work in Houston? In San Antonio?
I like plays and dinner theatres; I'd also like to do some volunteer work. What does Houston offer in this area vs. San Antonio?
I am into taking morning walks. Does Houston have walking trails/tracks? Does San Antonio?
What is the public transportation system like in each city? Can I live on the outskirts of town and use public transportation to commute into the downtown areas or other areas in Houston? In San Antonio?
Is the cost of living comparable for Houston and San Antonio? Explain either way.
I plan to live in an apartment for the first year. What are some decent areas in which start searching for an apartment in Houston? In San Antonio? I prefer the outlying areas of either city.
Thanks.

Hey, there is a similar post out that may answer a lot of your questions posed here. In the search menu above type in houston vs san antonio. Someone with the ID of arias100 started a thread and many people have responded. You might find peoples opinions on all of the questions that you asked above. I hope this helps. Love you...by the way...this is your daughter.

Of course San Antonio has more old style buildings being the older city whlie Houston has those lifeless glass buildings like Dallas.

The older buildings in downtown Houston do kind of get overshadowed by the large postmodern towers, but it doesn't mean they're not there.

SA has a somewhat better climate, imo. The traffic is better in San Antonio as well.

The older buildings on the Eastern half of Downtown Houston make the city look ugly. Chicago disguises them as filler between the taller postmodern ones.
