Later in the evening the cops roll through saying a big storm is headed our way. We packed it up as we saw the lightning in the horizon. As soon as I got home it just poured. At first there was even some hail mixed in. But we got a pretty good soaking before it was all over.

OMG it is dumping on us here in northeast Texas right now and has been for an hour or so. It's forecast to rain for the next four or five days and we're expecting 6 to 10 inches over this wet week. Our lakes and rivers are filled to capacity already and our ground hasn't dried out from the 5 inches we got a couple of weeks ago. Lots of flooding warnings are out.

I'm glad for all the rain because we were way behind, but this is starting to be too much of a good thing here in northeast Texas.

Seems like it usually happens that way all over the state. Too bad it can't be more evenly dispersed!

Burn up dry drought.....or flooding!
