Hi!,

We are traveling through from Arizona to Florida the first week of December to move and are a little concerned about road conditions. What type of weather can we expect through TX? Are there concerns of fog?

Thanks!

You may find fog very early in the morning, but it burns off quickly!

You shouldn't have any problems driving through except you're not allowed to put the word "the" in front of a highway number in Texas. You have to say "I" in front of the interstate number, like "I-10" or else folks will look at you crazy.

Well I figure people should know what the "10" is whether there's an I or the in front of it....if you live that far down you probably drive it often enough, but thanks for adding that grammar lesson in.

I drive I-10 at all hours, throughout the year (I work shift). I drive the portion between Beaumont and Houston, in S.E. Texas. Fog can and will happen, but only a few days/nights of the year is it bad enough to be concerned about. A far greater concern is the torrential rain that happens at times. Fog is a far less worry, although it will occaisionally be present.

LOL!!! I know. Hearing "the" in front of the number drives me nuts. Where did "the" come from? Saying, "do you drive the 10" could mean a multitude of things and not just the interstate. Can you hear someone in the North Texas region saying, "do you drive the 35?". LOL!!! You mean I-35E or I-35W?

Everyone seems to be out on a vernacular tangent. The question was about fog, right?
