In answering this question, first, consider the Galleria to be a push for NorthPark mall and even it isn't considered in the same class as the new owner after buying Highland Park Village quadrupled the rent.

Here are a few articles:

Highland Park Village

D Magazine : The New Emperor of Highland Park Village

But isn't this where one should post Dallas versus Houston? I posted my last thread in the Houston department by mistake.
Contrasting cities is a normal endeavor. i'd like to know if there is a shopping center in Houston that comes close to comparing to Highland Park Village.
It doesn't offend people in Dallas when people in Houston point out that the Texas Medical Center is the largest in the world. But then something like this will offend a Houstonian. I'm going to say it. The people in Houston, the forth largest city in the United States, have an inferiority complex.

Did you even read the two articles I posted? I placed this in this section because it appears to be the place where contrasting city versus city threads are supposed to go. i know that you don't like me, but that is normal even in the real outside world. Even the Queen of England doesn't like people from time to time. I know that she didn't like it that time when an American commoner was allowed to usher forward to hug her. That will never happen again in our lifetime.

i figured as much, im not familiar with Dallas' retail scene as retail is the last thing i care about when comparing cities. that development kind of reminds me of the new River Oaks District, a much smaller "city centre".
