I've never dated a girl who wasn't from Texas but that brings up another reason to love Texas, lovely women.

No. I am native born Texan ! Now I'm sure I will get the speech about what a real Texan acts like, or thinks, or even does. And of course this will all bring us back eventually to the real areas in Texas, where the real Texans live.

Real Texans live all over Texas.

And as someone who's lived here for about twenty five years, I consider myself a real Texan at this point.

By the way, I live in a town of 13,000 people. I'm keepin' it real.

We are newcomers to Texas and love it here in Plano. Although we've been here just a few months, I find the people very friendly, the cost of living much better than NJ. Everyday when my husband comes home from work, he has a smile on his face as compared to the NYC to NJ commuting scowl he always had. It is like a heavy weight has lifted off our shoulders.

With the kiddos back in school, I am really enjoying my walks on a walking/biking trail that is within spitting distance of our house. Love the sky, love seeing so many people out on their bikes, running, jogging, etc.

We are really looking forward to visiting every nook and cranny of this fine state.

The only thing I do not like about access roads is it creates an environment where the bulk of commercial construction/activity is along the highways, making a car centric city more so.

I like the friendly people and the fact that you can have it all without having the government be all in your pocket.

I am sure you will be enjoying your explorations for years to come. I've been here twenty five years and am an avid traveler/adventurer and every year - heck, every MONTH, I find more interesting nooks and crannies in this glorious state.

And isn't it amazing how many people mention the big sky of Texas when they're talking about what they love about the state?

So glad to have you here!

Right now I'm loving the fact that its only 78 degrees today in August. Hope we get that rain tonight. I love those Texas thunderstorms. Tomorrow we go back to the 90's though. lol
