Mystery shoppers needed in South Texas
I'm interested in locating a good avenue to recruit mystery shoppers in South Texas. Shop'n Chek World Wide is looking for mystery shoppers around Zapata, Laredo, Carrizo Springs, Cotulla, pretty much any area. Any ideas?

Hi Atriano,
I will be moving to Laredo, soon (selling my home now, and can't wait ) and I am signed up as a mystery shopper now, glad to know they are needed in Laredo. How do I sign up once I get there? Also is the pay pretty good?

You go out and buy all of these items at the bequest of a certain marketing company to either check out the product and/or the service from what I understand. You also get paid to do this or you either get to keep the merchandise. I'm sure there are reports to write up and such.

Mystery shopping is not the easy job that it seems. If you don't fill out reports just perfectly and on time, they keep your evaluations and don't pay you. Also, there is much competition to get shopping jobs (at least in my area) so it's not all eating at fancy restaurants and shopping at Nordstrom's. It's more like going to time share presentations and evaluating parking structure guys for a whopping eight bucks.

I have cousins in St. Louis who mystery shop- they love it! They go to alot of nice restaurants, go to stores (I don't know the quality). Maybe it depends on the company you work for....?

I USED to mystery shop in Laredo but it gets tedious if your schedule is already busy - the deadlines to submit reports is often short (shop during day, do report at night) and the pay (depends on the shop, from $5 - $100, but most around $10) sometimes doesn't cover the time & gas spent. I really liked it, though, because it seemed more like community service than a job but juggling jobs can be a pain.

I signed up with Shop n Chek, and I've yet to see a posting for anything that paid more than 5 bucks. They post on narms.com all the time, so I went to their site and gave them a ton of info, and just haven't ever accepted any shops because it doesn't seem to be worth my time.

Reading these types of messages is good information for me. Please keep an eye out for assignments as you may be able to find something a little more to your liking money wise at some point. Thanks for looking!
