Is Texarkana all one city??
Or is it two cities, one in Texas and the other in Arkansas?? I am confused on that one.

Yes! Two! The post office is very cool! Half of it is in TX and the other in AR!

On the TX side, you are in a dry county but walk across the street and you can buy liquor on the AR side!  Crazy!! |

While they are politically two separate cities because they are in two separate states, they are one urban area which is contiguous.

You are correct.
And it doesn't suck at all, really. Except for the smells coming from the two paper mills a lot of the time, it's a great place IMHO. Lots of nice friendly folks. I've never lived there, but did visit a lot on business a number of years ago. The only other bad thing I've heard, is that the people running some of the local governmental entities are basically crooked, similar to Athens. |
