There is no need to be rude, just because you don't agree with his political beliefs.

It's true though. I like how everyone says they are "tolerant" then are like oh too bad so and so place is becoming blue, or its still red there, thank god! Yeah that doesn't sound very welcoming to me.

BTW Midland is now at about 151,000.
Midland booming thanks to the $100 plus oil, but nowhere near 151,000 unless you include the county/metro 123,933 as of July 1, 2013 by the very accurate US Census Bureau estimates. July 1, 2012, 119,665.

Yes Midland Metro/County was 151,468, 146,786 July 1, 2013

Just keeping us real. lol 'cause I'd like to say Tyler was 216,080 but that is the metro/county total

But my cousins that still live there say that "Everybody in the world is moving to Texas--and the traffic here has gotten unbearable."

"Yes. It's that bad."

*Sigh*

You get used to no traffic, lines, crowds and noise very quickly out here in the backwaters.

Look above on my population updates not 151,000 for Midland.

At any rate, it's grown tremendously (when I moved there 7-7-77, the population of the town was somewhere between 45-50,000, IIRC.

Both Midland and Texas in general have too many people--and I don't understand why so many people want crazy growth and sprawl, especially in Austin. I used to really love it, but I'm glad I don't have to go there any more now.

I like the Tyler/Longview area myself. The cost of living is about the same in both - pretty low - and you're nestled between Shreveport and Dallas just off I-20. Very convenient.
