Marble Falls-Bluebonnet Cafe?
Hey Yall. Got family coming in for the holidays. One of the things on my itinerary is to take 'em to see Horseshoe Bay/Lake Buchanan/Marble Falls. Have heard that Bluebonnet Cafe is one of the best places to eat in the area. Anyone eat there? Is it worth a stop? Or is there a better place to stop and eat lunch in the area?
Also, any specific "not to miss" things to see in that area?

Bluebonnet Cafe is really good. And make sure you save room for pie. OMG, I don't even like pie much, but theirs is wonderful. I had a slice of peanut butter pie, which sounds really gross--even sounded gross as I ordered it--but it was sooooooooooo good! It gets pretty crowded in there, so be prepared to wait.

Heard the cafe was really good and that Mable Falls has some sort of light display down by the lake that is suppose to be good. Tell us if you eat there and like it since M Falls is only 25min drive from me now we might want to go eat there!

Yum yum! When we drive through the Hill Country, a stop at the Bluebonnet is a MUST!

Skip the Bluebonnet
I live in Marble Falls and I can tell you that this is the most overrated restaurant I've ever eaten in!
A place that "specializes" in breakfast ought to be able to get the basics right:
serve decent coffee-maybe not gourmet, but at least better than what they're serving,
keep said coffee hot, they pretty much can't
some kind of liquid creamer, not the powdered stuff
learn how to cook hashbrowns, not burned on outside and cold inside
I've lived here 4 years and I give them another chance every six months or so, always disappointed.
Not a lot of good breakfast places out here. However for all around good eating Marble Falls can't be beat.
The Falls, Main St @ 2nd
Patton's On Main, across main street
Cafe 909, on 2nd St. around the corner
Jamin House, on Broadway, east of US 281, Caribbean, great seafood and steaks, possibly our favorite restaurant in this area
Spyke's Bar B Q, out in Kingsland, 15 miles west of MF
Delaware Springs golf course, the BEST hamburger in TX at their snack bar
A Taste of Thyme; in Horseshoe Bay, only open for lunch, kind of a "tea and sandwich" place, but outstanding food.
Marriott resort in Horseshoe Bay; OK it's a Marriott, the food is good.
For a great breakfast drive down to Johnson City (tour the LBJ home/park while you're there) but try the weekend breakfast or lunch at the Silver K Cafe, great food and BETTER PIES than the Bluebonnet.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, NO we don't cook!

I have eaten there and remember that the pie was excellent. Don't really remember the other food.
