Oh when was this clarified?

I'm pretty sure The Woodlands has been the 'best' suburb in Texas since it was founded. They took all the 'best' things about the previous 'best' suburbs and added more parks and more connectedness to nature and tighter building restrictions to maintain that 'suburbianess'.

I would live in The Woodlands in a heart beat. Its by far the most naturally beautiful suburb in Texas (reminds me of East Texas minus the hills). No other large suburbs in the state even come close.

Las Colinas & its river walk is a joke in comparison.

The Woodlands is the prettiest suburb in Texas, Ill give it that.

However, the best? No. I would much rather live in Sugar Land or Plano.

all are great suburbs that the OP of the other thread looking for nice suburbs should look into.

The only real advantage (if you wanna call it that) they have over TW would be their diversity, other than that TW is the superior suburb in every way because of its naturally beautiful setting & ease of access to an international airport. TW isn't nearly as diverse, but its getting there. Plano & Sugar Land used to be the same way. If I were a minority I wouldn't hesitate one bit over living there.

Plano & Southlake are butt ugly from a scenery perspective. The two are interchangeable. Typical suburbia Texas look to them.

TW is unique because as the name implies its densely forested & zoned very well.

Highland Park & University Park you can't compare. Houston has West U. Place, Bellaire, & Piney Point Village for that.
