While people DID complain about the humidity (including yours truly..), the rain was so badly needed to replenish local lakes/reserviors....however, it will take more than one good year to truly break the drought.....and the recent snow will help add to the yearly total.

The country was green all the way from Alamogordo/El Paso to the hill country......I haven't seen it look this good in YEARS.

While I love my arid native WT, I am glad to see some relief from the years-long drought! Rain is predicted for the next two days for both Midland and here. We can both use it!

Surprisingly, long after all the rains we had, there were actually some areas in Texas that a drought had resurfaced. It seems strange after the events of last winter and spring. Nevertheless, I'm hoping we could have some of the same results as last winter, but, hopefully, without the ice!

Dewpoints are getting lower here, thus, our chances of a good hard rain are also going with it. Maybe a few sprinkles here and there the next few days.

Yes, you can certainly do without the ice...and the DFW metroplex appears to have it more than most other sections of Texas.

Not fun.

About really once or twice a year. Not sure yet if we're going to have an extremely cold winter. But we just need the rain to keep all of the lake levels acceptable.

As for the meteorologists, it's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!

So, guys, how about sharing on this? Do you still have any drought in your area (those that do, anyway)? Hope I can hear from you.
It was raining just as hard in Arlington, case, about an hour earlier than you. I'm GLAD of it, we really needed it! We could do for some more, though. I don't want any ice either! Fox 4 this morning said that some of our southeastern counties could get up to 80 tomorrow but I'm not sure if he meant the DFW Metroplex or the state as a whole?

Weather Reporters should be paid based on the accuracy of their predictions.(they would all have to have part-time jobs at Mc Donalds) I agree with one person that said they should look out the window every once and a while. I was amazed at this Summers rain totals, and then it just stopped..... Well hopefully this will be the beginning of a rain pattern..... Go Cowboys!!

Default Can The Cold Front Play the Hokey-Pokey?

Oh, and by the way, that cold front that moved through? It's expected to move back as a warm front. There's talk of temps back into the 60's by Wednesday.

But we still need the rain.
