I remember Gov. Rick Perry's calling for "Days of Prayer for Rain" to end the drought in 2011.

Those prayers were answered by hellfire instead.

I don't have anything negative about Christians. I'm talking about the documentary where they made it looked like most Texans are science deprived Christians. It's the documentary that made it look like Christians are dumb.

I blame Rick Pretty for part of Texas drought problems there was a plan in the works to conserve water in Texas and the fool scrapped the whole plan now farmers are suffering from these scrapped plans

Proposition 6 Information | SWIFT | Texas Water Development Board

Quote:
On Nov. 5, 2013, Texas voters approved Proposition 6. This legislation enables the state to create two funds—the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) and the State Water Implementation Revenue Fund for Texas (SWIRFT)—that will help finance projects in the state water plan.
Before the funds are made available, TWDB must develop a point system to prioritize projects and develop rules on how the funds will operate. Once these tasks are complete, the SWIFT can be used to fund rural water projects, projects related to conservation and reuse, and projects in communities and cities of all sizes.
Throughout the process, we'll report on our progress in a transparent manner and show which water plan projects are receiving funding. See where we are in the process on our timeline or view our SWIFT presentation for more details.
Ensuring Texas' future water supply is vital to our state's continued economic growth. We encourage you to participate in the planning process to make sure your community is represented.
