you make it really hard to ignore your ridiculous claims...

Houston and DFW have practically identical QOL. some lists rank Houston higher, others rank DFW slightly ahead. its a matter of opinion. but keep telling us about how bad Houston sucks..

in terms of the CITY (not metro, for the people living in Dallas and Houston proper) quality of life in Houston ranks quite a bit higher, coming in at 22nd (2nd best in Texas.. Austin obviously took the #1 spot in the state), Dallas ranks 41st.

Don't sidetrack his vendetta with facts TT. He feels spurned by Houston but secretly longs to return..

You are quite driven. I'll hand it to you there. Seems like 90% of your posts I've read are all about running down Houston in one form or another. If you live in Hawaii then why do you even care? And comparing the "Hawaii vs. North Dakota" example to "Houston vs. (any one of the other 'big 4' in Texas)" is laughable, at best. Any real difference in the QOL between these 4 cities is so minimal and insignificant that it's hardly worth mentioning. Most Americans outside of TX view these 4 cities as pretty much equal where QOL is concerned, though Austin might pull a little more favor, deserved or not, due to the excessive hype surrounding it these days. Personally I could care less why millennials are gravitating towards any of these cities, but I'm just curious why anybody who doesn't even live remotely close to Texas would have such a stake in this.

So because you disliked it, that means others moving there don't?

In fact, I know Rice Univ does a satisfaction survey which has shown that largely, Houstonians like living there. There are too many non-natives there now for any natives to sway the entire survey, so you can't blame it on that.

Of course I'm sure you'll deny this and other facts and reality regarding Houston like you always do here. Look around... read replies to your multiple bash posts including from NON-Houstonians. I don't think it's others who are delusional or have "trouble understanding"...

Dallas is that lady with tons of makeup, breast implants, laser hair removal, designer clothes, and a fake tan. She may be pretty to look at, but there's not much behind the surface. She loves to shop and to eat at the myriad chain restaurants in Dallas. She's from an evangelical church.

Houston is that slightly overweight polite lady that likes the comforts of life but is a bit self conscious. She likes the cultural attractions in her city like the symphony, but hates to be outside. She doesn't dress as nice as her Dallas sister, but she might have had some plastic surgery though. She likes the varied ethnic cuisine of Houston. She's protestant.

Austin is that very thin athletic chick with little body fat, flat chested, naturally tanned from being in the sun. She wears shorts and tank tops most of the time, when she's not in her bathing suit. She loves to hike, bike, swim, anything outdoors. She is mostly vegetarian, but sometimes vegan. She's atheist.

San Antonio is that fat chick that is very nice. She knows she's overweight but she doesn't care. She compensates for that by being a great cook and sleeping with you on the first date. She doesn't know how to dress either. She is naturally curvaceous but like I said overweight. She likes Fiesta, TexMex food, and amusement parks. She's Catholic.

Everyone does have there own personification of what that see, or want to see. Some people see the city like it was in 1975, and others see it like it is in 2014. Dallas isn't the same Dallas of 1975, and neither is Houston, Austin, or San Antonio. With all the cultural additions and migrations of the decades, both Dallas and Houston are now more a like than different.

I don't know why Dallas gets summed up so easily. I feel like there's a scene for everyone here. Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, Bishop Arts, etc. are nothing like Uptown, Knox-Henderson and such. It's really a good mixture of neighborhoods all surrounding the downtown. If you can't find what you're looking for here then it may be the person not the city that's the problem. Uptown/Knox-Henderson are just one portion of what Dallas has to offer.
