Texas's Next Coolest City!
Ok, we already have some of our established cities like Dallas,Houston,Austin,Fort Worth, etc. but excluding the top 10 biggest cities and population in Texas and think of what city could be Texas's next biggest star.

I would have to say College Station/Bryan. It has Texas A&M, a world class university and an expanding and healthy economy. It also has great proximity to the major cities in Texas.

My vote for "rising star of Texas," as I will be voting by moving there at some point, is the San Marcos-New Braunfels area.
There's a bit of an identity crisis for the two cities of 50,000 apiece, since one is lumped in with "metro Austin" and one with "metro San Antonio," but together they have some impressive history and features of their own, like the largest natural springs in Texas, the largest water park in Texas, and the largest outlet mall in Texas. Combine having the neat features of their own with the close proximity to Austin, San Antonio, and the rural Texas Hill Country (places already at or near the top of the list of "cool" places in Texas) and I think you're looking at an area that is ready to be "discovered."

Amarillo, its underrated and probably on the rise. The Area between the Austin and SA could boom and become another DFW, and the DFW-Oklahoma border might also boom real sudden like... But Amarillo... if not Midland and Odessa...and if not Lubbock.

I agree. I think that the cities east of El Paso in West Texas have been underrated for a while. Eventually, one of them will be "discovered". Could be Amarillo, but I am rooting for Midland/Odessa.
