Default Dancing in West Texas

Hi y'all. . .I just moved to Seminole, Tx from Fort Worth. Small town life is definitely a big change for me but I'm really beginning to like it. I've been pretty successful at finding most of what I need around here, but one thing I can't find is a place to go country & western dancing. There is nothing available in Seminole, (it's a dry county) but I'm quite willing to drive. The closest cities to me would be Midland, Odessa or Lubbock.

Help!

I don't go to clubs or bars anymore, so Graham's in Odessa is really the only place I can think of.

have you tried your local VFW's? they are usually a good place. the two VFW's near me are very country, and one even hosts an Opry every second weekend of the month!

There is a CountryWestern Dancing Association in Midland...and they should be able to tell you quite a bit about what is available in the area!!

Why did you have to post this THREE times in all caps?

There are two options that jump out at me if you want to drive in to Lubbock. If you are between the age of 18 and 30, I would suggest Wild West in the Depot District. If you're a little older, then I would suggest Chances R on Frankford.

Grahms in Odessa or The Ranch in Midland. If you want all kinds of music and bull riding there is always Dos Amigos in Odessa. The two recommendations in Lubbock are good too.

You'd be best off driving to the cities on that one. Surely, there'd be places in Lubbock or Midland. I'd like to go, too, if you can find one!
