As far as I know, Austin has Google fiber which is wonderful (1 gigabit upload and download, advertised. From what I hear the speeds are consistent w/ the advertised).

Google Fiber has yet to actually build out much, if at all. Given their business model, I wouldn't count on it either.
Best bets are FiOS, U-Verse, or Grande.

The town of Muleshoe, Texas has fiber optic cabling throughout the town. However, I believe it was only for telephone services several years ago when it was being installed.
