I'm currently living in Stanley North Carolina, I was born and raised in North Central Texas, I went into the Military right out of high school, that's what landed me in N.C. in the first place, then before getting out of the Army I went and married a N.C. lady that didn't much care for Texas so we came back here, but you can really believe this is no place for a Texas Cowboy to be..

And my wife knows it all too well, so after dealing with it out here for so long she told me to find another place to move where I will be happy and she will most certainly be happy to go where ever, even if it is back to the Lone Star State of Texas, I have a couple of differant idea's in mind, Midland being one of them right now.

I have been working over in the big city of Charlotte for the last 12 years, I work for a towing & recovery company there that is nothing short of the biggest and best in the State, I do heavy duty towing & recovery, I would like very much to stay in that business, it's good business, and very good money.. But Charlotte and this area is no place for me.

Question: Does Midland or Odessa have any good Heavy duty towing companies that do much heavy towing / recovery work that you might know of that could use a Heavy duty wrecker operator?

Thanks!

I grew up in Midland and I would think that having I-20 and all the oilfield trucks in the area there should be heavy duty wrecker service in Midland or Odessa. Midland is a nice town with about 100,000 people. It is a great place to raise a family safely or to retire too but it will not have as many things going on as Charlotte does. Cost of living should be lower than Charlotte though. Midland would deffinately get you back to being a cowboy on the range again! Outside of the occasional dust storm you can see every star at night and the sunsets can be very pretty as well. If you love to hunt or like horses you will fit in as well!

I don't know about wrecker operators specifically, but drivers are in demand. With all of the heavy oil field loads, I would think that you get a job before you move.

Looking through the yellow pages I only saw two ads for heavy towing companies. That being said, there are plenty of jobs here in the area, the oilfields are doing well and I'm sure with or without a CDL you would be able to land a job.
