Which area has the most crime/ poverty? Southeast Dallas or Northeast Houston? And which one has the worst/ most

* illegal immigrants
* schools
* low home value
* environment quality
* Economic status

I am planning to move to either south Mesquite or East Baytown

Why do you want to live in south Mesquite? Even if your work is nearby, it's not a place that most people would consider desirable. Yes, the houses in the area are inexpensive, but it's also high crime with low performing schools. If you were willing to drive even just a few miles to north Mesquite, the area is safer and has better schools.

Exactly! Southeast Dallas is the worst part of town and the southside of Mesquite is right there next to it.

Yea, that was kind of the point; he listed the worst and summarily cheapest parts of town in both cities.

Having lived in both Houston and DFW, wouldn't want to live in either area. There is a reason prices are low. Look at the crime maps, do a Street View and look at bars on windows, etc.

Kinda like south Chicago, southeast DC, 9th Ward in New Orleans.
