I'm not in Austin though. That's too far south for my taste ^^

This weather is not uncommon in October too. I remember the first year I moved here it was 95 in October and my wife was pregnant. She froze me out that fall!

One thing to note is in an El Nino year a first strong cold front is normally a few weeks delayed.

From the national weather service in San Antonio:

Quote:
ALTHOUGH THE MEDIAN DATE OF OUR FIRST STRONG FRONTAL PASSAGE IS
TYPICALLY AROUND SEPTEMBER 23...OCTOBER 7-8 WOULD NOT BE TOO FAR
BEHIND SCHEDULE FOR EL NINO YEARS WHICH FAVORS A SLIGHTLY DELAYED
EARLY OCTOBER FIRST FRONTAL PASSAGE.

No I don't I'm one that has used such comparisons before and heard others do so years ago before this thing cropped up about how it's supposedly "bad taste." I (and they) didn't consider it bad taste then nor do I now. I recall Notorious BIG in a rap song pre-9/11 saying "time to get paid/blow up like the World Trade" referencing that one terrorist attack that happened there around 1993. No one complained about it being in poor taste. That's the standard I go by.

Regardless, it is seriously irritating when the norms aren't respected. It's serious business to me. Another friend of mine on the East Coast has complained at how there has been no rain for months and how it's now dumping it by the buckets vs it having rained at a normal pace all along. I agree, to me it's seriously demented for Mother Nature to work that way. It should NEVER work like that.

Mother nature does what she wants, dude. I don't like how hot it was last month either but... remember "normal" is a human concept not a natural one.

It was 53 this morning and was just beautiful! I am supposed to get off at work at 2 AM tonight so I'll pack a sweater for my ride home. Very refreshing. It's warm but not too hot now, very pleasant. Hope for a chillier October ^^

It's been real beautiful the past days. Such a welcome change. Sadly gonna get hot again Wednesday but looks like some more autumnal weather coming soon after again.
