Default What good schools are in Sherman?

I noticed someone had said on a previous thread that pottsboro, Ss, and Howe were all good school districts in Sherman. Are these schools actually in Sherman. I found Sadler school in Sadler Texas. I am confused. Any help would be appreciated. My daughter is 4 and will be going to kindergarten next year. I want a good school with a good teacher/child ratio, and one that drugs are no an issue. I am moving from Indiana in May.
Thanks,
Joy

The schools you listed are all in their respective towns......Pottsboro TX, Howe, TX, etc. They are all in Grayson Country, as is Sherman are are essentially bedroom communities with the residents doing their shopping/working/recreation in Sherman.....all are just a few minutes away. You might google a map of Sherman and you'll see the surrounding towns.

Texas has independent school districts. They aren't by county and they don't always even follow city lines either. There are a bunch of school districts in Grayson County. One is Sherman ISD. One is Denison ISD. Then there are those others Howe ISD, Pottsboro ISD, and a bunch more. They each will have websites. Sometimes it's hard to tell where the boundary of one ends and the next school district starts. It's normal to live in one school district and work in another so when folks start throwing out names often they are districts. In Pottsboro for example they have Pottsboro Elementary, Pottsboro Middle, Pottsboro High School. It's its own district, but you can live in Pottsboro and work in Sherman. Just depends what you are looking for in a school and a district - big, small, whatever.

Salder is in with Southmayd and makes up S&S, two different towns but same school. Elementary and middle school is in Southmayd and the High school is in Sadler...hopes this helps.
