Now how much did they say we were going to save over the course of two years?

We came out ahead by a decent amount...maybe $400? I forget, I would have to go look again. It is almost tax time, so I will look at my records when I do my taxes .

In the last two years my property value went up $13,000, but my property taxes went down $230. At this rate, I have about two more years before I am back to where I was four years ago. The Lord giveth and the government taketh...

Its the old bait and switch- drop tax values but have the appraisal raise the property values. Markup the item 200% and have a 25% off sale

Mine was close -- 12%. No increase in appraisal value. The school tax was the big one. The sum of the rest of the tax rates was the same as last year's. I have nothing to complain about. But.... we'll see what happens in the coming years!

Our rate went down from last year, but this is our first house, so it didn't 'save' us any money. However, moving from Wisconsin did!

Maybe if the churches paid taxes the homeowners wouldn't be overburdened...
