Sounds like a great idea. Exactly what idea or topic regarding this great area would you like to converse? I'm game for anything. No, really. What's on your mind? How many subjects would you like to talk about? This area is really huge, and you can think of so many different things if you just put your mind to it. You know I am open. How about it, OP????

Hmmm. OK. How about we settle something right here and now.
We all know that Dallas and Ft. Worth are two seprate cities, right? (And Ft. Worth isn't apart of Dallas or the Dallas Metro area, but that's a different topic... Right?)
So my question is...
Should Arlington still be considered a suburb... and if so, to who? Dallas, Fort Worth, or no city.

Since Arlington wouldn't be a city of its size without Dallas or Fort Worth, I would consider it a suburb. It's in Tarrant county, right? I'd say Fort Worth in that case.

What do you folks think of the infrastructure around the Metroplex? You know, our freeway system and the accompanying roads. Are they functional enough for you? Are they too beat up to drive on? What about our more recently rebuilt facilities (I-30 Landry Highway in Dallas or the High Five at LBJ/Central, et al)???

I'd love to comment on the highway system, but I don't even have a car to drive and I'm not even up there right now .
I just hope the whole Metorplex highway system doesn't become extra loopy like SoCal. The TRE should help a little, but only for a short while. The area needs to (and will) expand the rail systems. DART, The T with its possible streetcar system, and the Mid-cities needs to work on something, especially with the Super Bowl coming in just 3 years.

I'm sure Arlington will put something together, and they'll need to. Right now, the only sure thing is the expansion of I-30 and the new interchanges that accompany it. In a couple of years, things will be very different when you look at the landscape.

Quick question: You know how Fort Worth is known as "The city where the west begins" and Dallas is sometimes called "The city where the east ends"?
If that's the case, then what does that make the Mid-Cities?
