Yes, we know we'll have to take a cut in many areas if we move there (we want Hot Springs/Garland County also). Wages are lower, good doctors fewer, income tax and high sales tax.......but we've always wanted to live in a mountain setting and are absolutely smitten by the Ouachita's. Good news is home prices are reasonable and property taxes next to nothing. We would likely home school our kids, so no worries there. It's a big decision. Texas has a lot to offer as well, and if we wind up staying that'll be fine with us.
