Property taxes for Copperas Cove or Killeen?
Hello,
We will be moving to Ft. Hood, Texas in a few weeks and are wanting to buy a home in Copperas Cove or Killeen. This is our first time buying a home and I'm wanting to figure out how much property taxes will be. I'm a little confused on what the property tax rate is for either place. Can someone please give me some insight of how to determine the property tax rate in either Copperas Cove or Killeen!

I am wondering the same thing. My wife and I are retired and will be looking to buy in the CC area. Certainly someone out there has an idea about property taxes.
Looking at the Realtor.com website, I am disappointed. The local Board of Realtors omit taxes, exterior construction, year built, and address.
Hopefully, some kind soul will help with some info.

i would post on the killeen daily herald forums........there is a board for copperas cove residents, killeen residents and all other towns surrounding ft hood. very active forum.
i dont own yet, so i dont know. and am buying in gatesville-lots cheaper than cove since i want land

According toModerator cut: link to a competitors site removed, the property tax rate for Copperas Cove is $13.20 per $1000 of home value. A house worth $100,000/1000 x 13.20 = $1320. Killeen is listed as $15.34 so property taxes for a $100,000 home would be $1534.
If this is incorrect could someone please post the correct rates?

oh and i am sure that the copperas cove city website has info. if not, try coryell county appraisal district-you can google it. surely there is the info you need between those two sources!
