Default Trans Texas Corridor Meetings

I have been unable to attend any, due to my work schedual. Has anyone in this forum attended? What is the general message the people of Texas are giving back to TXDOT? By their own admission (from txdot website), there has been overwhelming opposition voiced, sometimes lasting until 1AM. Can anyone verify or comment? Thanks.

If the toll road hearings in San Antonio are any indication, I think TxDOT pays no more than perfunctory attention to citizen opposition. It'll take legislative action or court action to put the brakes on the notion of toll roads in Texas.

There was some passed to a degree last summer but it was only for 2 years and exempted lots. Governor Perry vetoed the first bill which froze everything.

Guess they don't want to hear from us over here in the Panhandle. But there is a big new freeway being built here, I imagine for the same purpose as part of the Trans Texas Corridor plan.

Where in the Panhandle is the large new freeway lilypad? Are you talking about the Lubbock freeways?

It is called Marsha Sharp Freeway. Don't know for sure if it is part of Trans Texas Corridor.
