No. There are some feral burros near Big Bend.

BLM heavily manages wild horse herds. There are only a few left, and none in Texas. Texas has very little public land; almost all land here is privately owned.

After the drought in 2011 there were surprising number of feral horses as folks could not feed when there was no grass or hay available. But wild herds ... no!

We have a BLM mustang gentling/adoption center near Georgetown, Mustang Heritage Foundation
