Default Need pics and location of site of Borregos Plaza, Texas panhandle?

Hello all,
I just read Louis LaMour's western paperback, "Mustang Man". He mentioned a little town on the south side of the Canadian River called Borregos Plaza, in the Texas Panhandle northwest of Amarillo. In real life Borregos Plaza was not far from Tascosa. Anyway, I wanted to find a pic of it or find out its exact location. I love period pics or pics of those old towns LL mentions in his books. One town he mentioned at the end of that book was Loma Parda, NM. I found all sorts of pics of it, the ruined buildings, etc.. But I have found nothing on Borregos Plaza.

Yes I have found its mentioned in historical articles, etc, its history, but nothing saying exactly where it is. I clicked on google search "images" and found nothing about it, no pics, etc.. I have found other ghosttowns, etc, pics of towns back in the old west. But I can not seem to find out where exactly Borregos Plaza was. I know it was just east of where Punta De Agua Creek empties into the Canadian River, on the south bank or side, but no exact location. I would dearly love to see some pics of it too.
Thanks,
Pistolero

Default Borregos Plaza

Hello all,
I have found pics of other ghost towns, etc.. I don't understand why there is nothing out there on the search engines about Borregos Plaza? It was of stone and adobe, with houses, catch pens for sheep, etc., all of stone or adobe. It would seem there is something left there if it is not still occupied.

I grew up in the Panhandle, and I have certainly heard of Old Tascosa and many other ghost towns in the area, but I have never heard of Borregos Plaza. Is it inside another town and simply the name of an area in another place? I am going to hunt it up. I will let you know if I find anything on it.

Hello JamesAbeline,Did you ever find out anything about Borregos Plaza? By the way, some kinfolks of mine settled in several towns in the panhandle back in old west days. One, my great grandfather's brother Edward Walker White was one of the founders of "White and Kirk" Department Store in Amarillo.
Thanks,
Pistolero
