I didn't see the baby turtles but we have alot of those in our yard here in Oklahoma. We are on 2 1/2 acres and it seems they are everywhere but then we have a creek on our property too.

I've never been able to see that in person, but I've heard stories and it sounds like an amazing sight.

FWIW, North Beach (aka Corpus Christi Beach) is on Corpus Christi Bay while (north) Padre Island beaches, including the National Seashore, Mustang Island and Port Aransas, are Gulf of Mexico beaches. The water and waves are different. I would never swim in a Corpus Christi Bay beach because I don't like to think about the runoff. But they're nice to walk on.
Also, when people talk about South Padre Island, they're talking about the town of SPI and it's beach, which are located about 150 miles south of Corpus Christi, very close to the Texas Mexico border. |

Chickrae- Padre Island is what I was talking about when I said The Island. You actually go through the Island to get to Port A unless you take the ferry.

It's sort of hard to get a handle on the geography unless you look at a map. Then you'll see the barrier islands and the bays. |
