For those of you looking to move to Texas and inquiring about the schools you may want to get ahold of the December issue of Texas Monthly (texasmonthly com). They have done their own study as they have in the past and picked some of the top schools in the state. This is by no means saying that the schools not on there are bad nor is it saying that if you send your child to one of these schools they will get a stellar education - that is all up to the student and the parents. But I was happy to see my childs elem school and middle school on the list
