Just like all LEOs don't want to be stigmatized by the actions of a few bad officers, neither do those associated with BLM. Something to keep in mind.

Still shocking to have seen that happen in a city with such a good police-community relationship.

They weren't protesting Dallas PD, they were protesting what they perceived as unjust policing nationwide

It is a bigger state than most, so it is understandable if we have more fallen in the line of duty. I'm not downplaying the lives lost, just that it shouldn't be surprising if we have more lost compared to other states. The thread could be seen as TX-bashing (more police die here than elsewhere). Maybe not, but it's not clear what the intentions were.
