Many questions which are asked can be answered on this very site, by looking at climatic graphs, ethnicities, property valuations, etc. Just get out of the forums and go look around on city-data.com (just click on the title at top left of the page). I've spent many pleasant hours poring over all the data. Whoever assembles it all gets my heartfelt appreciation.

And also, too, some helpful advice through one's personal experience(s) if there's a business, restaurant, school, church, destination, etc. that he/she has dealt with, has been shared and helped others in that regard. That's really what we're here for.

true, however, i accepted a job in a town in South Texas once, and the info on the "stats" parts of this site, did not depict the town AT ALL and was so off base in many areas. you really need "personal" feedback from others.

Yes, that does happen. I used to be an administrator of a couple of message boards for my employer, so I've seen a lot of spammer tricks.

It's always a good idea to look up a new poster's profile before going to a lot of trouble to craft an answer. If you see that a new poster's profile includes a link to a web site, the chances are good that the new poster is posting to benefit that web site, rather than seeking the answer to the question they asked.

If you find that the web site in the user's profile is particularly egregious, like a porn site or a site selling something that would be inappropriate to discuss here, the best course of action is to use the "Report this post" (red-outlined triangle) button and report the possible spam so that the mods can have a look.

I only said that to point out the very issue I was griping about ... Peter put no "location" on his profile ...!
