Is Texas Burger of Crockett Worth the Drive from Dallas
Hi-
Is Texas Burger of Crockett Worth the Drive from Dallas??
I've been to Crockett once (7.2.05) to see a buddy. His grandma cooked lunch for my friends & me...it was great!!
I'm mulling a return to Crockett b/c my friend from there has been good enough to meet me in Tyler twice b/c Crockett is so remote it falls off the map & the fact that I still need a Texas Burger, some fries & a malt & a
Dr. Pepper!!
Thanks,
fallguy

Texas Burger happens to be a chain, fallguy. They have locations in Fairfield and in Buffalo, and those are certainly closer to Dallas than Crockett. If you ever go to Houston or something like that, they are right off of I-45 if that is what you crave.

There ain't no freakin' way ANY burger is worth a long distance (hours) of travel just to get to. They might be good, real good, even, but for cryin' out loud, gas is approaching $4 a gallon! Think!

Thank you to all respondents.
southeasttexas, I enjoy the random road trip for the bragging rights & shock value.
Tho gas is approaching $4 a gallon my friend Rob in Crockett has been good enough to meet me in Tyler twice so I think it's time I returned to Crockett.
Talk to y'all once I get this done.

I grew up on Texas Burger in Midland and sure, the burgers were a little better than McDonald's. The shakes were made with good ice cream. Probably not worth the drive. Whattaburger is about as good.

My Crockett friend is moving to Huntsville 5/10 so we're in search of Texas Burger brand restaurants in places other than Crockett.
Thanks & talk to y'all later,
