Hello All,

I've visited Beaumont once and will be relocating out there in 2 months. My daughter will be in 7th grade and need help from people who live out there. I would like for her to be in the best school and in the safest neighborhood. What information can you provide that will help me determine what area to look for an apartment for now. As time goes I will then look into purchasing a home. But first we need to get comfortable. We currently live in California so I know the weather is very different.

Thanks In advance.

Jenn

I'm jumping on, because literally that's me! Maybe a 3 bedroom house, though, and I have 2 boys, one HS. Sending us both luck!

Always put your Job location.... and put your rent (or housing) budget. Or the thread is worthless.

& the weather? It's OK to nice from November - March. It's OK in October and in April.

& then it's "Africa" hot in the summertime. Like you're trying to survive long periods inside a Sauna....but it's even more humid.....& it's hotter.

Thanks for the input. I believe I did put Beaumont and did not enter my budget till after I was asked.

I hope I get some information.

Where in Beaumont? (nearby Cross streets of your work)

(Work location probably isn't as important for a smaller Metro like Beaumont, but knowing approx. where you work will jog people to respond. And maybe your work location will be right next door to a great apartment complex or neighborhood.......or a great Cajun restaurant or honky tonk. )

I hope you get some good info too Jenn.
