We can all disagree about politics, philosophy etc., but who made you the final judge as to who is a "good American" or who is "antiamerican." You smell like Mr. McCarthy.

10A Did I mention that it is NOT the Socialist state of Kalifornia?
Mr. TexReb:

Just to show you the example of CA-bashing that occurs. You always tell me NO-ONE here does it. Then again, as someone once said, it is actually a compliment when you are the standard others are compared to. LOL

BTW, as to things I like about TX as a visitor, I second most of what Lindsay said, except for Country Music - not really my thing. TX definitely has the best Mexican food.

I have lived in Texas all of my life...but I want to go to California...maybe to just check it out...maybe to move there...when I take over both California and Texas and secede them from the union to create the White Chocolate Republic...kinda like Pakistan was before Bangladesh got its independence...residents of either state will be banned from bashing each others places...I love both...

One of the best top tens I've seen here yet. It's especially good when Bob Phillips travels around our state and tells us things never before seen and heard. I always learn something new from him.

Very good top ten, WC. Like the number 8 on this one. We're already in the middle of what is definitely spring time in Texas. And this is the best place for any road trip, since I've just finished up in San Antonio and the Hill Country and I just got back. And I think everyone likes number 9, too (since I'm a food guy).

LOL --- The Republic of Texafornia? You may want to just go ahead and take Arizona and New Mexico as well, so you can have one large piece of non-stop land. What will you do with those states, or will you keep them as a "buffer zone"?

Ah, Gretchen, you're back! You bring the sparks a-flying!

Case, I love Bob Phillips but I haven't seen the show in awhile. I don't even know when it's on anymore. I just recently found out that it's carried on some obscure cable channel in states other than Texas. The channel is rurally themed.
