Hi all,
My wife and I currently live in the middle of nowhere about an hour and a half north of Amarillo Texas. I am taking a job that allows me to work from home. We are entertaining the Granbury area. We have two kids ages 5 and 2. What are your thoughts on Granbury being family friendly? Are there things to do for kids? Thanks!

Anthony

I like Granbury, cool little town. Google their city beach. I haven't been out there since they built it, but my daughter has and says it's really nice.

We use to go to the Opera House sometimes for concerts and have been to some of their street festivals. Very family friendly place.

As C24L said, a short drive to Fort Worth where anything you wanted to get or do is available. It's not that far to go for a day of fun at Six Flags or Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. Not far to take the kids to Dinosaur Valley State Park | Glen Rose, TX - Official Website Glen Rose.

Working at home you can avoid the busy time commute and enjoy a slower pace lifestyle in Granbury, but still have good places to eat out if you want and things to do.

If you can work from home anywhere I would suggest at least checking out Mason,TX! Granbury seems like a cool small town too though. Pretty sure they say John Wilkes Booth lived there after he escaped death.
