The toll road starts at Georgetown and goes south, so it won’t help with a commute to Temple.

We will be visiting Nov 8-12 and staying in Temple but that's not much time to make a very informed decision so I am looking for all the help I can get.

My husband has been doing the commute for a year now, some days he gets tired of it, other days the traffic is not so bad. His schedule isn't the 8 to 5, it's 11:30 am to 8 pm. He leaves around 10:30 am and gets home around 9pm. His company is off of I35 on the south side of Georgetown so he doesn't use the toll road.

Several things to look into before deciding where to live is the cost of the area you are interested in. Compare property and sale taxes for each city, cost of living expenses, etc. Georgetown is not in the same county as Belton or Temple. There are differences in the amount of taxes you will be paying.

I wanted to chime in to address the ones that are currently living within the Killeen, Temple, Belton and Waco area. I am also looking to relocate to one of these areas and I mostly wonder about jobs and the pay grade...I keep hearing how low paying the jobs are in these areas which is scary to think about since I'll be leaving a job making over $40,000. Does anyone have any insight or experience with job issues? I'm a Financial Analyst.
