They're all over. You can see some in town as well as by the roadsides and highways and fields. I'm upset, though, because I-30 in Arlington had bluebonnets by the sides of the highway but which have recently been torn up due to the road expansions because of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium there. That's a whole 'nother wretched subject. But I digress.

Try Spur 408 and I-20 in southwest Dallas. That area always has bluebonnets all over the place.

None up in Panhandle yet, I think they bloom later here. Took a road trip to look for them yesterday, and didn't see any.

Yes, they do bloom later in the Panhandle. It starts in south Texas and moves northward. I heard on the news this morning that there may be a little less blooming this year cuz of the dry spell earlier.

Hey, case, yes that area does have alot of bluebonnets! I used to travel that way to work years ago.

In my yard. I-20 and 408 has some of the most coverage I've ever seen. Personally, I prefer Indian Paintbrush, and up around Bowie, the median strip usta be just covered.

Delta Planter: I love to see the two of them growing together...it seems to happen a lot. Indian Paintbrush is beautiful, I agree. I haven't seen either yet this year, but I haven't been looking very hard; it's still early (we had scattered light frost last night). There is a spot about 5 miles south of Wetherford on Hwy 51 that is especially glorious when they really get going.

Default I love bluebonnets!!

Oh please take some pictures!! That is the MAIN thing I miss about Texas! (Thank you Ladybird, for planting all the wildflowers!!http://bestsmileys.com/flowers/7.gif (broken link))

I bought some bluebonnet seeds when I was there last, and a few are coming up. (Yippee!!) I used to love the road between Marble Falls and Burnet! It had fields full of Bluebonnets mixed with Indian Paintbrushes. Up around Marshall and Caddo Lake, the roadsides are just covered, too!

Missouri has pretty Coneflowers, Butterfly weed and Queen Ann's Lace, but it's just not the same! I would REALLY like to see some pics!! Meet me on the picture thread, the minute they start blooming!! darlynn0217

I was in the Azalea Trails in Tyler day before yesterday and they were all over the place. I would imagine that they are also blooming on HWy 69 North to Greenville.
