Hi All,

I am moving to Dallas from Seattle as I got a job in Dallas. But I have only 3 days of travel time. Could anyone please help me with a drive plan which helps me to reach there in minimum time.

Could you please suggest whether it is advisable to drive the car from Washington to Texas, with interlock device(Breathalyzer) installed in it.

My car is Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V4 2015. Is it advisable to drive from Seattle to Dallas in 3 days?

Please help me As I need to start by March 23rd.

Thank you.

Note: This is first thread, Please ignore if there are any mistakes in it. Sorry in advance.

As for the interlock, you can drive a car with one anywhere, as long as you have the appropriate permission form the monitoring agency.

If you drive, you would probably want to take 82, 84 and 80 to Fort Collins, go south through Denver to Amarillo, and on to Dallas. It’s around 2100 miles, so you would need to drive 800+ miles a day. That’s maybe 11 hours of driving each day, and not accounting for rest breaks and meals. My recommendation? Don’t do it. Fly down. Can you buy a car once you get to Texas?

That is one heck of a long drive by yourself. As an option you could bring someone with you to help with the driving then pay for their airline ticket back. Maybe pay them something for their time to help driving.

Can’t do that with an interlock.

OP. Best way is to fly and ship your car.

For the Record, I drove from Atlanta to Seattle in 52 Hours straight, without sleeping at all. No caffeine either. (I'm not kidding, I did this back in summer of 2011.) I didn't actually get seriously tired until I got into Seattle. I had to make the drive because my landlord was going to be leaving town and I had to get there before she left so I could secure my home.

That was one awesome drive.

Without pushing myself I can easily do 24 Hours on the road though.
