What's taking so long ? I haven't heard anything about that since October 2016 when the Simmons lady said she would donate $50 million towards it.

Agreed, but you know how that goes. The City of Dallas can be very incompetent at times ....

How many Trinity River plans have there been? I remember reading about them in the Dallas Observer when I was a kid. I'm still reading about them there. Unfair Park was probably knee high to a grasshopper then. Speaking of Trinity River plans, whatever happened to Laura Miller?

I think what stalled the Trinity River project is them trying to build that stupid toll road.

You don't think putting a toll road on top of a dam or spillway is a good idea?

The tollroad has been cancelled.

This is a true game changer, not some Ferris Wheel or unnecessary supertall. I hope they get their act together on this annd do it right, because it will completely change the face of Dallas for the better. It's a tremendous opportunity.

I know that. Their continued insistence on trying to shoehorn that in has delayed the necessary work for more than a decade though. Dallas should have gotten it done well before Fort Worth but right now Fort Worth is outpacing Dallas.

It's pathetic and true. Dallas has done nothing but shoot itself in the foot on that Trinity Park. My only hope is that with all these blunders and delays that in the end the thing will come together how it should. Klyde Warren Park did turn out extremely well.

The major stall was the tollroad itself. But for years they have spent large amounts of money on design concepts and not on the actual project itself. The signature bridges are completed...we just need the freaking park.
