My husband and I are thinking of purchasing a home w/acreage that is in Blue Ridge, north east of McKinney. But we're concerned about the Trans-TX Corridor being too close or even going through that area. We've seen the proposed plan on their website, but it isn't clear how "definite" that plan really is, and it's hard to tell if it goes as far east Blue Ridge. Does anyone know if the location of the corridor is subject to change? And is it even for sure that it will be built, or is it one of those things that could get bogged down w/red tape and then disappear? We'd hate to buy a place out there only to find out that we have to move, not to mention the money we'd lose by being "bought out".

If the Republican State Congress is unchecked it will happen. Write or call your local or state congressman or representative. I feel it's a bad thing. Not many ranchers and farmers like it either.
